How do I wash my pads?

Looking after your KIKI & GREEN pads is simple - no odour, no stains, and they’ll last for years.

Step 1: Rinse in cold water after use.

Period blood itself is odourless. Disposable pads smell because of chemicals and fragrances. Ours are toxin-free, so no weird smells here.

Step 2: Pop aside until wash day (or hand wash as you go).

Step 3: Machine wash at up to 40°C with your usual laundry - no fabric softener. Hang dry with our clever drying straps.

That’s it. Fresh, clean, and ready to reuse again and again.

Taking care of your pads is super easy once you know how.

Before use
Prewash all pads on cold wash with detergent. This helps to activate the absorbent fibres.

After use 
Rinse pads in cold water, (until water runs clear), or leave them to soak overnight to prevent staining. Throw them in with the rest of your wash and normal detergent - up to 40 degrees, (or hand wash as you go).

After washing
Stretch pads back into shape if required, and air dry wherever you like with our handy drying straps provided. Do not apply direct heat as this may cause shrinkage. 

Pro Tips
Don't use fabric softener, hot water or bleach as this will affect the absorbent technology. We recommend washing on a longer wash cycle with maximum spin speed of 1000rmp, to ensure you get the most of your pads in the long run. Wear them with well-fitting underwear, to really keep them in place. Especially if you are active! 

This does depend on how frequently you use your pads. We have tried and tested our pads, a lot! We believe on average having 12-16 pads per cycle. This of course can vary depending on your flow.

If you use 12 pads in rotation on average they should last about 3-4 years. Follow care instructions carefully and they will keep you going for a while.

As long as you change pads when required, and wash as we recommend - then there should not be issues odour. In fact the top of our pads is made with an anti-microbial bamboo charcoal layer, which is odour eliminating.

Disposable pads can smell because they have chemicals in them, and our pads are chemical free! So you be confident with a KIKI & GREEN pad.

Our pads should not stain. A quick cold water rinse by hand will do the trick. We don’t recommend using hot water as this will set the blood and cause staining!

Our reusable pads are designed to keep you feeling dry, comfortable, and leak-free all day long, with layers of carefully selected, high-performance materials.

All of our materials are rigorously tested to ensure they are free from harmful chemicals and finishes. We use natural fibres wherever possible, and our products are third-party tested for toxin-free safety. Our pads are free from PFAs.

Premium Bamboo Charcoal Blend Top Layer:
A super soft, moisture-wicking layer made from a bamboo charcoal polyester blend that naturally controls odour, naturally anti-microbial and keeps you feeling fresh and comfortable all day. 

Super Absorbent Microfibre Core:
Our highly absorbent microfibre UltraAbsorb™️ core rapidly draws moisture away, providing ultimate protection and comfort throughout the day. This material is designed to lock moisture away, ensuring you feel super dry.

Waterproof Layer (PUL):
A breathable, leak-proof layer that ensures no leaks, while still allowing your skin to breathe. Keeps you feeling secure and confident, day or night.

Wear them with well-fitting underwear. We even size down our pants or wear tight fitting pants, with a wider gusset.

Our pads are made using very high quality super (we mean SUPER) absorbent inner layers. Our UltraAbsorb Core™ can hold 6 times the amount of a disposable pad - it draws all the fluid in and locks it in place.

We do recommend changing to suit your needs to reduce the chance of leaks, recommended changing time between 3-5hours - but this really does depend on your individual flow.

Please avoid fabric softener on your pads, as this can create a build-up in the fabric and reduce absorbency. 

With every set you will find a handy travel bag. Each bag has 2 compartments - one for storing used pads, one for storing clean pads. Once used, simply clip the used pad closed, and pop it in one of the compartments. The travel bags are super cute, and discreet. 

Our pads attach the same way that a disposable does. You simply put them into your underwear and attach the popper wings on the underside making for a secure fit and then you’re good to go.

Wear them with well-fitting underwear. We even size down our pants or wear high-lycra tight fitting pants, with a wider gusset.

Our pads are designed for comfort and confidence, with the ability to handle your flow for up to 12 hours—perfect for overnight use, or very busy days!

We recommend changing your pad every 6-8 hours to maintain comfort and freshness, but you know your flow best!
